Digital X-Rays
X-rays have always been an invaluable tool that dentists utilize to diagnose many conditions as early as possible. Digital x-rays make the process safer and faster for patients as we can access your images immediately and discuss pertinent treatment concerns with you right away instead of waiting on an x-ray to develop. Digital technology also emits 80 percent less radiation than the x-rays taken in the past. We use digital x-rays to offer our patients a more accurate diagnosis so they can make the decisions that are right for their dental health.
Second Opinion®
A smarter way to review your dental X-rays — for better clarity and confidence.
At Nordonia Dental, we’re committed to giving you the most accurate, thorough care possible. That’s why we use Second Opinion®, an advanced AI technology that helps our team review dental X-rays with an added layer of support.
Think of it as a “second set of eyes” that highlights areas we may want to take a closer look at — so we can catch issues early, explain findings clearly, and help you make confident decisions about your care.
What is Second Opinion®?
Second Opinion® is an FDA-cleared AI-assisted technology that reviews dental X-rays in real time and helps identify signs of common dental conditions.
It does not diagnose or replace your dentist — it simply provides additional insight so our doctors can deliver the most accurate evaluation possible.
Second Opinion® can highlight signs of many common conditions,
including:
Cavities
Bone loss
Calculus
Infections and inflammation around the root
Impacted teeth
Signs of failing dental work
Widened periodontal ligament
It can also recognize existing dental work such as:
Crowns
Fillings
Bridges
Implants
Root canals
Intraoral Scanner
Primescan
Our Intraoral Scanner Primescan transports value, accuracy, and outstanding performance. Compared to analog impressions, an intraoral scan with Primescan is faster and more comfortable to our patients. A digital impression taking with Primescan is now up to twice as fast as before with less scan interruptions.
The Intraoral
Camera
When you can see what your dentist sees, it's much easier to understand why particular treatment procedures may be necessary to restore your dental health. The intraoral camera allows us to take pictures inside of your mouth so you can see your teeth and soft tissues in full color. Again, this will enable you to choose the dental treatment that is best for your specific needs.
Nitrous Oxide
Laughing gas, or nitrous oxide, helps patients relax and feel at ease during dental procedures. You breathe nitrous through a mask that you wear during treatment, and it works immediately to help you relax and feel comfortable. It's safe for patients of all ages and doesn't interfere with your normal activities because it leaves your system as soon as the mask is removed.
Digital Records
We've gone paperless at Nordonia Dental Group! This allows you the ease of filling out forms online and saving time at our dental office. We can also share documents with pertinent providers we may be working with.
